The Iconic Brand Awards (TIBA) commenced in 2019 as a distinguished event uniting professionals, business owners, and individuals from diverse professional circles. It is an evening of celebration and recognition, where outstanding individuals and businesses with proven track records in their respective fields are honored with awards for their exemplary work.

TIBA is a brand powered by Crystal Edge Professional Services, dedicated to promoting exceptional brands across various industries. Its mission is to highlight and showcase personal brands, business brands, and corporate brands that are making significant contributions within their respective spaces.

At TIBA, we firmly believe in the hierarchy of needs’ theory by Abraham Maslow which says that recognition is an emotional type of reward (intrinsic) that taps into our relationships/ connection with those around us and our need for ‘Esteem’.

Recognition is a vital need often underestimated, transcending the basic psychological requirements of individuals. When people and businesses receive recognition for their endeavors, it serves as a powerful motivator, driving them to achieve even greater heights. Our goal at TIBA is to inspire others by shining a spotlight on the dedicated work and efforts invested in building brands and businesses.

This event is encapsulated by the acronym DNAR, representing Dinner, Networking, Awards, and Red Carpet. TIBA2023 marks the fifth edition, and we are introducing the TIBA Conference—an Africa’s largest branding conference. It will bring together individuals (personal brands), businesses (business and corporate brands), and provide valuable insights on elevating their branding strategies.

The TIBA Conference will unite the industry’s most dynamic minds on an unparalleled journey, exploring innovation, creativity, and the essential skills necessary to nurture relevance, propel businesses forward, and thrive in the new era of branding.

Past editions of TIBA have successfully hosted remarkable personalities and industry professionals in various locations, including Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Abuja, and London, United Kingdom. This year’s edition is no exception as it will be held in Lagos, Nigeria.

With an anticipated attendance of 500 to 1,000 participants, including distinguished individuals from diverse spheres of life such as mid-level professionals, senior professionals, HR managers, CEOs, co-founders, lead coaches, social media influencers, public figures, celebrities, corporate individuals, startups, and business owners, TIBA offers a unique networking opportunity.

Chair, Advisory

Omotola Adedapo is a versatile, excellence-driven HR Leader with core competencies in Organizational Leadership and Development, People and Culture Strategy, Talent Management and Development, People Analytics, Business Intelligence and Digital Transformation. Her years of experience cut across the Financial Services, Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail, Hospitality, and Healthcare sectors. She is currently the Head of Human Resources for Sterling Financial Holdings Company Plc.

 

She is a certified Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) with the Human Resources Certification Institute, (HRCI) USA. She is a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) with the Society for Human Resources Management, USA, and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and a Master’s degree in Industrial and Labour Relations from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Olubunmi Fabanwo

Member, Advisory

Olubunmi Fabanwo is a fintech professional whose career path has taken him from leading the Binance Affiliate Program for Africa (1,500+ Partners, 120,000+ new users, $1.03Bn Trade Volume) to driving business development within the Google Cloud team.

Now based in Canada, he is passionate about enterprise solutions on the Google Cloud platform and introducing individuals and businesses to the revolutionary power of Blockchain technology.

Opeyemi Emmanuel

Opeyemi Emmanuel is a serial entrepreneur, a mentor and an innovative leader in the tech industry with over 12+ years’ experience in software development and a passion for helping African businesses succeed. Opeyemi has worked with various multinationals before deciding to launch out as an entrepreneur. As the CEO of Tribearc Ltd, Opeyemi has developed a suite of software tools that are designed to meet the needs of African entrepreneurs, developers, and businesses. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nicosia and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Benin.

Gabriel Ologunwa

Gabriel Ologunwa is a business growth professional turned financial advisor and investor. He is passionate about partnering with value-aligned innovators and investors, bringing economic empowerment to disadvantaged communities on the continent of Africa.

He is currently the Founding Partner of Plumule Advisory Limited, with a mission to empower young African entrepreneurs who are leveraging technology to turn the continent’s toughest and multi-layered infrastructural challenges into profitable business opportunities.

He organizes advisory sessions for student founders across campuses and he is  a sound engineer by passion.

Oluwafunmilola Otolorin

Fondly called The Levite God’s Mouthpiece! A certified Media Personnel by training. She is passionate about journalism and everything that revolves around communication. Oluwafunmilola is a believer in the family system as the UNIFYING and LIBERATING FORCE upon which a NATION is BUILT. She believes that very great nation thrives on the exclusive family values and cultural activities that mold and shape the individuals that it presents to the world.

She is enthusiastic about building strong family bond that produce exceptional children who are well behaved, highly disciplined, emotionally stable, loving, caring, talented, motivated, proactive, intuitive, creative, and humane. She is a serial entrepreneur and a family life coach.

Juliet Kimson

Juliet is a serial entrepreneur, Artist, Educator, Creative Coach, Kids and Teen Advocate, who is passionate about helping children discover their inert creative potential and be the best version of themselves.
She runs an event management outfit where she provides decoration and lighting services to her clients for various kins of professional events. She is the convener for The Creative Classroom for Teachers created to meet the 21st century educational skills set and to impact educators for more wired classroom.

Omobabinrin Adeola Osideko

Omobabinrin Adeola Osideko (MSc, FCCA, CPA) is a trained Accountant in Nigeria, Canada, and United Kingdom. She is a graduate of University of London where she obtained her MSc in Accounting. Outside her regular job as a Finance professional, Adeola is a Personal Development Coach and a Branding Expert.  Her passion for writing, teaching, and public speaking, is what launched her into what she does presently as a coach, speaker, and Branding consultant.

She is an author, an international speaker, the licensed organizer of TEDxBingervile and the convener of The Iconic Brands Awards (TIBA). Adeola is a mentor to few and a role model to many.

Temitope Ogundeji

Director, Learning and Development

Temitope Ogundeji is a customer centric professional with core competencies in Learning and Development, Training and Research, Coaching, Facilitation, Strategic Planning and Business Development. Her work experience transverses Real Estate, Facilities Management, Hospitality, Consulting, the Capital and Financial Markets. She is currently the Training Business Development Manager for the Risk Advisory function at Deloitte Nigeria.

Temitope holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Lagos and a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan. She is a project management professional with interests in cybersecurity and marketing communications.

Adeola Okoh

Adeola has over 14 years of extensive experience in the telecoms sector, she a seasoned sales and marketing professional specializing in driving business growth and development, with a proficiency in market expansion initiatives.

She had held key roles in leading telecoms companies, where she successfully spearheaded numerous sales and marketing campaigns, resulting in significant revenue growth and market share expansion. Her background encompasses strategic planning, brand positioning, market research, and customer relationship management, all aimed at driving business success and achieving organizational objectives.

Morenikeji Onaderu

Director, Event and programs

Morenikeji Onaderu is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, a Certified Information System Auditor and a holder of a Masters degree in Business Administration. She is a finance professional with over 15 years’ experience working in the public, banking, real estate, and hospitality sectors. She is a parenting coach and the founder of The Graced Child Network, through which she provides strategies, resources, information, support, and accountability to parents who want to create a dynamic relationship with their children.

She is an inspirational fiction writer and author of 8 life-changing books. She is also a ghostwriter for busy professionals, and a faith-based filmmaker.

Bright Okere is a highly experienced Digital Marketer, Communications & Brand Strategist, with a passion for crafting impactful brand stories and driving strategic marketing campaigns for global brands.
